Come, follow Jesus
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me — watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Tracking Jesus offers you an Interactive Learning Environment, or ILE (a complicated term for a multimedia, online learning experience), to help you follow Jesus daily with confidence and freedom, in accordance to biblical guidelines.
Tracking Jesus will help you:
- gain a better understanding of what following Jesus will require of you,
- spiritually read the bible and other important texts (Lectio Divina), and allow the Holy Spirit to really change you and build your character,
- overcome your false self through ‘apophatic centering’ or contemplative prayer — where the focus is on God and Him working, not on you,
- make spiritual progress through sacrifices to search for a deeper experience of God — for the right reasons in a way that the bible teaches,
- obey Jesus’ specific instructions to you in pursuit of your mission by being sensitive to new desires,
- live spiritually fit through practices that brings you into deeper contact with God, your Father, and allows you to be transformed into the person He created you to be, and
- apply practical suggestions for making what you learn here part of your daily rhythm of life, in an unforced manner, despite your hectic schedule.
And that will just be the beginning… This is an ongoing journey where we can never claim to be in control or have anything figured out. Tracking Jesus is a membership site that charges a small monthly membership fee. I’ll add more teaching as we make progress that will be helpful and practical, engaging your whole brain, left and right, to equip you to be better at what you were born to do… following Jesus.
